1. User Data Deletion Policy
In compliance with Google Play Store Data Safety & Account Deletion Requirements and global privacy laws, CourseCanvas provides users with clear, frictionless options to delete their account and all associated personal data.
You can delete your account using either the Android Mobile Application or the Web Deletion Request Form provided on this page.
2. Methods to Delete Your Account
- Open the CourseCanvas mobile application.
- Tap on your Profile Avatar in the top corner.
- Select Settings & Privacy.
- Scroll to Account Security and tap Delete My Account.
- Confirm deletion with OTP verification.
If you have uninstalled the application or cannot access your phone, you can initiate data erasure immediately using the verified web form below.
3. Data Retention & Erasure Scope
Profile name, email, phone number, password/auth hashes, FCM push notification tokens, device identifiers, mock test attempt history, doubt discussion threads, notes, and progress analytics.
Financial tax invoices and payment transaction records are retained strictly for the statutory period required by Indian GST/taxation authorities, after which they are automatically purged.
Upon submitting a verified deletion request, your active authentication tokens and app access are disabled immediately. All stored database records and cloud backups are purged within 14 calendar days.
